India, Kashmir and Ladakh

During my visits to India I have been twice in Kashmir and once in Ladakh. Kashmir I visited the first time in the very early spring, some years later I came back from another direction. Then I visited first Ladakh, sometimes named the Third Tibet (as the Tibet is the first Tibet and Sikkim the second, according to some sources).

Ladakh

Ladakh is a large area to cover. However, the main sites are in and in the vicinity of Leh.

All India Tours

India is not a country, it's a continent. After spending more than a year it's safe to say I have seen some of India but I have not seen all of India.

The same goes for tours in India. They only show you slices of what the country offers. Good, VERY good slices:

Accommodation in Leh

Manali

Last stop before you reach Ladakh through the Rohtang Pass. Manali is worth a stop of a few days. Scenery and town are full of typical Himachal Pradesh culture and spectacular sceneries. A must visit:

Leh

Former royal city Leh has plenty to offer but you will want to come during the Ladakh Festival. It's a spectacular event usually held in August and September.
