Hotels in Penang - other areas

There are several good hotels in Penang in areas like  Bayan Lepas, Jerejak, Teluk Bahang and Bukit Jambul . It may be convenient to stay near the airport, with a good golf course nearby. Worth a visit in this area is the famous Snake Temple. Or near Teluk Bahang on the far other side.

Jerejak Spa & Resort Penang

The Jerejak Spa & Resort Penang is not located in Bayan Lepas but it's so nearby I mention it here. Located on Jerejak island, in between the Malaysian mainland and Penang, the Jerejak Spa & Resort Penang a holiday far away from the crowds. At Jerejak Resort and Spa, you decide on the kind of accommodation and recreation you want. Pamper yourself at our Spa Village, choose fun and activity at the Adventure Village or go natural and campout at Camp Kembara. jerejak spa & resort penang

Jerejak Spa & Resort Penang is an all-round resort with facilities for the whole family. There are two outdoor swimming pools, facilities for rock/ wall climbing, abseiling/ rappelling, hiking & jungle trekking, mountain bike trails, paint ball war games, water polo and much more.

If you just come for relaxing, there's a spa and an excellent restaurant.

Getting there is easy. If you come from Georgetown, pass the Penang bridge, and follow the directions to Jerejak Island. Coming from the airport, it's about 10km on the highway from the airport. Follow the signs to the ferry.

Vistana Residences Hotel Penang

The Vistana Residences Hotel Penang is located in Bukit Jambul. It's a moderate priced hotel with additional attractions as a swimming pool, gymnasium and therapeutic massage treatments. Although the hotel is very moderate priced, its location may be a little inconvenient for international travelers. The airport is about 15 minutes away but George Town and the beaches of Batu Ferringhi and Teluk Bahang are a long way. That said, it IS a very nice hotel.
