Malacca is a heritage city, like Penang. Not surprising you will find
plenty of hotels in eveyr price range. With its Portuguese, Dutch and British
history, Malacca is one of the most visited cities in Malaysia. Many hotels
are in walking distance of the city
center with the Stadthuys (Museum), Christchuch, St. Paul Church and A'Famosa
which are some of the best
places to learn a bit of the Malaysian history.
This page offers some hotels in Malacca we have sorted out for you.
Everyone know the Holiday Inn Hotels. The
Holiday Inn in Malacca is one of the top hotels in Malacca too.
The Holiday Inn Melaka is only open since late 2007. You will
experience the usual quality of a Holiday Inn like everywhere else in the
world with all the high class facilities you would expect from a 5 star
hotel.
The Everly Resort Malacca is another of the hotels in Malacca we
have to mention. It is located on the sea front in Tanjung Kling near the
historical city of Malacca.
The resort's lush green landscaping and interior decor exude a luxurious
and relaxed atmosphere. Its rooms and suites offer spectacular view of the
Straits of Malacca.
The hotel used to be known as the Riviera but changed name in recent years.
Although the hotel has great facilities, One traveler wrote: "Great
resort. Food was amazing. Staff really friendly and helpful. Part of the day
we were the only 2 people by the pool. Huge rooms. Separated living area,
bedroom and kitchen area. Photos on the official website don't show it
justice. We had room overlooking the pool."
The Equatorial Hotel Malacca is an international business hotel
which is
located in the heart of historical Malacca city. The legendary A'Famosa (a
Portuguese fortress built in 1511) for example, is only 100 meters away.
The Equatorial has two room types: Deluxe Rooms and Equator Club Room and
7 different restaurants and bars.
If you need to check out late, and the room is not taken, you can stay
until 4pm!
The Majestic Hotel Malacca is the first luxury hotel and spa
within this historic seaside setting. The name is good chosen with an
architecture that fits very well the historical city center. Many hotels in
Malacca come a long way with their high quality, few match the Majestic
Hotel.
The hotel has two types of rooms: deluxe rooms and one bedroom suites. And
both are more then worth the money you spend here. Amongst additional
facilities: babysitting/child Services, bar/lounge, business center,
swimming pool and fitness center/spa.
The Melia Horizon Hotel Malacca is a renovated hotel in Malacca.
It has 25 rooms and is considered to be the entrance to Malacca's Central
Park and other attractions of Malacca.
With a price in between RM 80-150 it is a good cyclist choice.
The waterfront Mahkota Hotel Melaka is located next to Malaka's new
commercial hub at Melaka Raya, across the road from Mahkota Parade.
With a fitness center, sauna, two swimming pools, kids' pool with
waterslide, tennis and squash courts, mini-golf, and game room the Mahkota
is a great choice.
I stayed here once and the hotel is very good and the facilities are
impeccable, it's a little walk to the city center.
