Hoi An has a wide selection of hotels and guesthouses. We choose some
hotels we think are a good deal for the price. We offer all price ranges,
from top end to low budget accommodation (and I mean LOW budget but still decent)
The Hoi An Pacific Hotel with 6 floors overlooks the Hoi An
town. It is located in between the town and the private beach of the hotel.
There is a decent Cham (Cham are remnants of the Kingdom of Champa)
restaurant at the 6th floor. As a 4 star hotel you expect a 4 star service
and that is what you get. Especially the pool rooms are recommended.
The hotel offers some additional free of charge services like bicycles usage,
internet in room, jacuzzi, steam-bath and a daily traditional dance show at
dinner time in the Cham restaurant are offered to all guests.
A cheaper option is the
Pho Hoi Riverside Resort Hotel with rooms around US$30. It is one of
the hotels that gets thumbs up for both the hotel quality and service.
One traveler wrote: "We stayed at the Pho Hoi Riverside Resort in January 2009
for 5 nights and this was one of the highlights of our trip. Location is
great...overlooking the River with water buffaloes wandering
about....brightly lit lanterns floating down the river at night."
The resort is renovated in the last few years and has upgraded the service.
The Pho Hoi Riverside Resort is located on Cam Nam Islet, a few hundred
meters from the town center and 3 km from Cua Dai beach. The offers a good value
for the price.
The Vinh Hung Hotel & Resort in Hoi An is considered to be one of
the best hotels in Hoi An. It is located 400 meters from the Hoi An town
center. There are 46 Superior Rooms, 36 Deluxe Rooms and 2 Suites.
Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court and a private
beach.
One comment: "If you need a relaxing escape from the Vietnam turmoil don't go
anywhere else in Hoi An, this place is spectacular. Pay a little more and get
the river view room you won't be disappointed. Staff were great and food was
adequate. We will return."
The Vinh Hung 2 Hotel Hoi An should not to be confused with the
much more expensive Vinh Hung hotel Hoi An. The hotel is very conveniently
located in the middle of the ancient town which makes it a good choice.
There 35
Chinese style rooms with the first class rooms providing a balcony
that offers views of the hotel swimming pool as well as the city street.
One traveler says: ""Terrific hotel with really beautiful rooms, great
location and value for money, with one of the better buffet breakfasts we've
had in our entire Vietnam trip. If I were to go to Hoi An again - this is
where I'd stay."
One of the really low budget accommodations in Hoi An is the Phuoc An Hotel. For as
little as US $20 you can have a good clean and spacious room. It is located
in more quiet location, just away from the bustle of Hoi An town.
One traveler wrote: "It is a nice hotel for the price, we arrived at 7am and
were allowed to check in by 8am - which was a godsend after the overnight
train from Nha Trang."
The Phuoc An Hotel has a restaurant, a bar, indoor swimming pool, beauty
salon, spa, sauna and steam bath, body and foot massage and souvenir shop.
The Hoi An Grassland Hotel is another low budget accommodation with rooms starting from US $20.
In fact, it is one of the best deals for the price. Comfortable rooms plus
additional facilities as an indoor swimming pool.
The staff is helpful and friendly with several tourist services as
sightseeing trips and transport to the Danang Airport.
The only set back is that the hotel is 4 km from the town center.
Nha Trang, also called the Gold Coast of Vietnam is the country's
primary beach holiday destination. In the area there are good persevered
Champa temples to be seen.
The My Son ruins nearby Hoi An are a beautiful example of the long
gone Champa culture. Although many ruins could be better restored, it is
worth the effort going there.
