Guilin is for many years a major tourist destination. Obviously there are many hotels in Guilin. This includes some cheapies but they're hard to find.

Over the years Guilin has gained a status with (especially backpackers) travelers as "not very interesting" but as there are several interesting attractions in Guilin, it's worth a stay for a few days. There are a several really good hotels to be found. Hotels in Guilin can be from reasonable cheap to seriously expensive. So let's have a look at the hotels and hostels. 

Here are some low budget options in Guiyang followed by mid-range and top end hotels in town.

Sheraton Hotel Guilin

One of the top hotels in Guilin is the Sheraton Hotel, conveniently located in the middle of Guilin city center and in walking distance of the famous Elephant Trunk Hill.

I went there to shelter from the rain, saw some rooms and decided this is beyond my budget.

But as you can expect from the Sheraton, everything is top notch.

The Sheraton is located in the heart of Guilin and, as usual one of the best in town.

Airline Grand Hotel Guilin

The Airline Grand Hotel Guilin is located close to the railway station. It's a huge building with large comfortable rooms. The only set back seem that some of the staff speak little English. Amongst the services of the hotel are a swimming pool, a gym and a sauna. It's a good choice.

Guilin Grand 0773 Hotel

The Guilin Grand Hotel has over 100 rooms available. I admit, it's one of the few hotels in Guilin I stayed myself and it was a pleasant stay (bicycle in the room). With it's central location near the Li river and the city center, it is a decent and affordable choice.

When I stayed in the Guilin Grand Hotel it was renovated, which is by now all finished. The hotel is the first exquisite business hotel features European-American Postmodernism style. The atmosphere in the hotel is very nice, decoration decent and the rooms, from cheap to expensive are all very good and an excellent value for your money.

Park Hotel Guilin

Another good quality hotel in Guilin is the Park Hotel. The hotels is one of those in business for many years, has an experienced English speaking staff and decent service.

Not for nothing the Park Hotel has a reputation and tries to keep it up.

Amongst its attractions is the swimming pool, an exquisite restaurant where the Chinese and the Western food are a good value and with its central location in the heart of Guilin, you can't really go wrong.

Osmanthus Hotel Guilin

Another very reasonable priced, though not new, hotel. The Osmanthus is a very big hotel with 370 rooms and it's conveniently located near both the intercity bus station and the railway station. For what the hotel offers, it is an excellent price, especially considering the location right in the heart of Guilin.

Osmanthus Flower Hotel Guilin

The Osmanthus Flower Hotel is located next to the Osmanthus Hotel Guilin. The hotels offers similar rooms at almost the same place. Both hotels are 3 star and good options for independent travelers.

Lijiang Waterfall Hotel Guilin

Lijiang Waterfall Hotel Guilin has 48 guestrooms including standard rooms and suites, with air conditioning, TV, IDD and broadband Internet access, which are available in upscale rooms. The location might be a little turn off for some travelers but it's worth to stay in the area behind the railway station and close to the main bus station.

It's a good value for your money. Nearby you will find some excellent little restaurants.
