Novotel Resort Lombok

The Novotel Resort Lombok is certainly not the cheapest hotel on the island. With rooms of US $75 and on a night, it's not a budget accommodation. However, we still want to offer you this as it is such an extraordinary place.

The hotel is located at the southern part of Lombok. 60 km from Mataram. Travelers rave about it. "Very nice hotel with beautiful surroundings. A little bit too isolated for us."

The hotel is a bit away from everything but that is part of the charm. If peace, tranquility and being totally away from everything is what you are looking for, this is your choice.

The hotel has a total of 100 rooms and all the facilities you can expect from the Novotel.

Hotel Vila Ombak

One traveler says: “Nice little 'resort' in the middle of just about nowhere.” And that is exactly what Hotel Vila Ombak represents: a home away from home.

Hotel Vila Ombak is located at Gili Trawangan, a 10 minutes boat-ride off the north-western coast of the main island of Lombok. If you are looking what paradise might have looked like, this is your chance. But paradise doesn't come cheap with rooms from US $90 and on.

The hotel hAS 60 air-conditioned traditionally inspired comfortable huts, bungalows and rooms, a seaside restaurant, a beach bar with restaurant and pizzeria, a spa and the well-known Vila Ombak Diving Academy.

Other facilities include a lobby-lounge, a swimming-pool with pool bar, a gift and drugstore and a little clinic serving the islands community. There is a luxurious sunbathing and stargazing lounge by the 200 meter long hotel beach with views on the neighboring islands and Mount Rinjani on Lombok.

Puri Bunga Beach Cottage Lombok

The Puri Bunga Beach Cottage Lombok is a much more affordable resort in Lombok. With rooms from US $31 it's a great deal. The hotel is located in Senggigi with restaurants and markets nearby. The rooms have air-condition, TV with cable connection, private bathroom, bathtub and hot water, sea facing balcony, and Internet hotspot. It's a good deal for the price.

Dolphins Bay Cottage

Dolphins Bay Cottage is located at at the beach of Sekotong bay with look on the small islands. Tours in the area can be arranged, you can go for: swimming, snorkeling, diving, hiking, climbing, rafting, boat trips, and much more. A trip with the hotel boat is included if you stay for more then a week. The balconis you have a great view over the bay to Mount Rinjani.

Dream Divers

Dream Divers Bungalows is located at Gili Trawangan, Lombok. The hotel offers bungalows which are just behind the dive shop. The harbor is a few minutes walk from the bungalows.

Dream Divers is a basic hotel with clean and spacious rooms and for those on budget, a very good option.

Facilities and services, besides diving, include a swimming pool and restaurant and bar. The hotel is very moderate priced, with rooms from US $24 and on.

Kuta Indah Hotel Lombok

Another budget hotel is the Kuta Indah Hotel Lombok. The hotel has rooms from US $20 and onwards.

As it is a basic hotel, don't expect much. The rooms are not air-conditioned but cooled with fans. It's a hotel for the budget traveler who does not mind the basics. However, if you require luxury, you better choose the nearby Novotel of the Hotel Villa Ombak.

The service of the staff was excellent when I stayed here.
