Cenang beach is probably the most popular beach area in Langkawi. You will find plenty of cheap (RM 30-50) guesthouses on the mainland side of Pantai Cenang. Most of those guesthouses offer a minimum of comfort but, as said, they're cheap. A rock bottom cheapie is the Shirin Guesthouse, run by an Iranian couple (expect RM 25-50)

Pelangi Beach Resort Langkawi

The Pelangi Beach Resort Langkawi is a Malays chalet styled resort at the Cenang Beach. If you ask me, I say this is the top destination at Cenang Beach, it has everything and more then you could wish for.

Swimming pool, spa, the restaurant is more then excellent!, plus all you can expect from a top notch hotel. If there is one hotel to be recommended (also for divers) in this range at Cenang Beach, its the Pelangi Beach Resort Langkawi.

Casa del Mar Hotel Langkawi

Another excellent hotel is the Casa del Mar Hotel. This very stylish build resort is another great example of peace and tranquility in the heart of Cenang Beach. All rooms are very spacey with a lot of light coming in, something I always enjoy. With a great swimming pool and restaurant this is a hotel you can not easy ignore. With prices around RM 550 and up it's certainly not the cheapest, but it is one of the best at Cenang Beach.

Boutique Resort Langkawi

The Boutique Resort is one of the cheaper (from RM 150 and up) though still excellent options at southern end of Cenang Beach.

The Anjung Cenang coffee house offers very good food and is probably one of the better restaurants in this area.

Even though the Boutique Resort is located in the hot spot of Cenang Beach, it's a remarkable quiet place with mostly very spacey rooms and good service.

I've stayed here once with a lot of pleasure, highly recommended.

Bon Ton Restaurant & Resort Langkawi

Talk about a stylish and unique hotel at Langkawi, the Bon Ton Restaurant & Resort Langkawi should be named as one of the most unique. Although it's a small resort, it's nevertheless highly recommended for its uniqueness.

The Bon Ton Resort offers 8 exclusive and private 100 year old villas. All eight villas face the pool & lagoon with air conditioning & ceiling fans. If you ever want to experience staying in a traditional Malay house, this is your chance.

Awana Porto Malai Hotel Langkawi

The Awana Porto Malai Hotel Langkawi is located at the most southern point from Cenang Beach. Some claim the buildings architecture is Mediterranean inspired-design and they could be right. The Awana Porto Malai Hotel Langkawi is an excellent choice for the price you pay (RM 150 and on).

The restaurants of Cenang beach are a little further away, say 10 minutes walk.
