Mango Tree Place Hotel

The Mango Tree Place Hotel is one of those gems you easily miss when coming to Penang. Hidden in a side street at Gurney Drive this is an excellent location to explore Penang.

It is a 75 year old townhouse which is now in use as a boutique hotel. The sign from the roadside is small, as if the hotel does not want to be seen. Only those interested in staying here will find their way to this exclusive little place.

Evergreen Laurel Hotel Penang

For a 4 star hotel the Evergreen Laurel Hotel Penang is very decent priced. The Evergreen is located at the Gurney Drive with superior views over the Bay to the Andaman Sea.

Cafe Laurel and Evergarden Restaurant offers international and Chinese cuisine with a spectacular ocean view. And as you are at Gurney Drive, just walk across the street to enter the old world of Penang. The Evergreen is certainly a good deal for visitors on holiday and business people alike.

Northam All Suite Hotel Penang

The Northam All Suite Hotel Penang is another good example of a very decent priced hotel with maximum quality. It is located at Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah in the business center of Penang, but next door to all the old sights that make Penang so worthwhile to visit.

G Hotel Penang

The G Hotel Penang is a reasonable new hotel in Penang and as a building it does stand out.

The location is also great, the beach front rooms all have a spectacular view over the Bay and the Andaman Sea. There over 300 rooms, many with bay views but all are very spacious.

As other hotels on the boulevard you are never far away from for example the Burmese Temple or the famous hawker stalls.

Facilities include parking (useful in this part of Penang where parking space is hard to find. There is a restaurant, bar, a very nice garden and room facilities for disabled guests.

The G Hotel offer activities as sauna, a gym, spa, massage, Jacuzzi, swimming pool and BBQ facilities. The G Hotel is a great value.

Berjaya Georgetown Hotel Penang

The Berjaya Georgetown Hotel Penang is probably more a business hotel then a typical tourist vacation hotel. That said, leisure facilities at Berjaya Georgetown Hotel include a gymnasium, swimming pool and spa center. And the location is convenient too. The shopping centers and old town are all nearby.

In addition, Berjaya Georgetown Hotel has 6 individual meeting rooms that cater for smaller meeting set-up requirements. These meeting rooms can accommodate groups of 25 to 100 people based on theatre-style arrangements.

Gurney Residences & Hotel Penang

Other areas in Penang

Bayan Lepas is convenient if you arrive or depart from Penang International Airport. However, it's a long way to the beaches of Teluk Bahang and Batu Ferringhi and the Georgetown city center is also 15 km away. On the other hand, Teluk Bahang is a long way from the airport but has much to offer. Check out the hotels of your choice on this page
