From Beijing to Moscow by bike and train

Hi, my partner and I are planning to travel from Beijing to Moscow (china, Mongolia, Russia), because we only have two months we would do sections by train and sections on the bike; We haven't traveled in that area so we don't have an idea on which sections we should cycle and which sections we should cover by train. We would like to cycle two weeks or so, in each of the three countries. Do you have any advise on this? Any further advice is welcome.
