Bicycle shops Kuala LumpurLet me first explain, I know a couple of bicycle shops in Kuala Lumpur but I do not know them all. Cycling in a city like Kuala Lumpur, I've done it twice, is not fun unless you go outside the city center into the hills or even jungle.

There are two mountain bike / bicycle shops in Kuala Lumpur I know best: KSH and Bike Pro Center. Both are well stocked, cheap compared to western prices though not THAT cheap. Service usually is on the spot if the situation allows. If you are handy with your bike, you can always buy your materials online. In most shops you can show up for repair while bringing your own materials. You pay for the repair service, of course. Some shops offer online sales, but I prefer to use EBay. See our bicycle auction for the latest update. Main problem in Malaysia is to find tires. I prefer to use slick or semi slicks and they're always hard to find. Other materials are usually no problem. As I use primarily Shimano XT or better, I can always find it. Although the service is fine, I didn't find the staff too friendly, in both stores, but I may have come at the wrong day. Should you want to cycle with people in the area, Bike pro might be able to get you in touch with people as they claim Sundays is their riding day.
